I love my job but I’ve been feeling really burnt out there lately.
I do think that it’s cause we have so few kids but high acuity so in the effort to “scale down” on staff used, we have some unsafe assignments which is contributing to my unwillingness to work.
At least there’s one thing I can count on in this crazy mixed up world
So very thankful for corona virus and social distancing for limiting seats for my in person session for my BLS/CPR and cancelling my fucking registration today. The next available class is April 2nd and my certification expires March 31st.
Now I have to stop by HR so beg to see if there will be a grace period because if I don’t have my certification renewed, I can’t work.
to everyone who is losing things like concerts and senior proms and commencements and brunches they’d had planned forever and literally anything they’ve been looking forward to i’m sorry. i really am. it sucks and i’m sure there will be people in your life who will tell you to get over it because others have it worse right now and while it may be true that others have it worse that doesn’t make your pain, disappointment, or sadness any less real or valid. keep your head up.
